With me it has happened totally by accident, so that when I try to communicate right afterwards, nothing at all happens. It is that special state of mind when the "I" falls away and you’re left with just being. I think the animals are very in tune with that–less of a personality and more of being–and therefore respond better to this state of mind. Perhaps, I am not so sure.
Anyone ever communicated with your animal guides or animals in general?
Has anyone here had any experience with communicating with animals? If so, what were some good techniques to use?

I tried "Yo quiero taco bell" with a small mexican dog, and no response.

It might have worked better if you had barked it while on all fours!
Even if the dog was trained to respond to Spanish, he’d be too proud and offended to answer you, though. Seriously.

In my experience i have discovered that if you do not have the attention of the animal it is best to make some noise. but once you have its attention its how i mainly do so is through brain waves (there are definatly differant frequency levels for both recieving and sending… similer to a radio), eye to eye contact mainly the distance of about 6 yards at most works best for me. to me i dont have a specific technique i just do it. i occationaly practiced this at school and answered one of my friends questions that they were thinking. so far all i know about such acts are that if you can read minds of humans you can read animals the same way or vise versa.
cominicating to animals vocaly through my experience has proved to me that they understand as much as any human would through basic instinct on mood of the other. such as simply saying the toco bell phrase calmly it would not react much at all other than confuse them as much as one who tried to tell you something in a language that you or anyone else may not understand.

The times I have gotten impressions or information from animals I have tried to think in images, not words. I did get info from one dog rather clearly one time, and since I am verbal, it came in words. I think just open up and listen. I get clear info when petting them, the touch is a great connection.
